Canoe & Kayak Trailer For Sale
SOLD
I have an excellent Canoe and Kayak Trailer for sale. It was made by MO Trailers and it is their Long Ranger model. While I really like this trailer it is too heavy for my poor little Subaru to tow. The trailer is extremely well built with heavy gauge welded steel construction, you can climb all over it load boats.
Kayak Painting
John Harris (the owner of Chesapeake Light Craft ) sent me this print he picked up on one of his trips to Port Townsend, Washington. The picture is a painting called "Stood-Up" by Janne Matter,
Community
There is a whole community of people out in cyberspace who are into kayaks and other small boats, either building them or using them or even just admiring them. Below are some links to a few places where you can get to know some of these people.
Website Upgrade
Well, it has taken a while but I finally have the latest version of my website content management system up and running. The new system finally brings my online catalog into the main website proper which should make it easier to find what you want to find. Also, I hope I have made it easier for you to contribute pictures of the boats you have built.
Catching Up
It has been a long time since I have made any new entries on my blog. I hope my excuse is considered a good one. I've just been too busy, not only have I been helping Chesapeake Light Craft get my designs into their kit catalog, but I have been building boats, writing and buying a new house.
I am just now finishing up the boat building projects and will be delivering a microBootlegger out to Cape Cod later this week. I also just finished up a Night Heron and delivered that out to Long Island.
System Upgrade
My service provider upgraded some of the software used to run my website. As a result things some functions are broken. Please excuse the error messages that may be appearing until I get things working appropriately again.
Thanks,
Nick
Fictional Guillemot Kayaks
I got a call from Bob Van Dyke of CVSW the other day. He said he had just been reading a book by Clive Cussler called Polar Shift. He had just picked up the book recently and was shocked to read the following:
WoodenBoat Show Concourse d'Elegance Winner
I decided to enter my Petrel into this year's Woodenboat Show Concourse d'Elegance. I am pleased to report that I ended receiving a nice 1st place mug in the professionally built manually powered boat group. There were a lot of beautiful boats there so I feel quite honored.
